Telephone appointments now available at Congress

COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, is a big risk for everyone’s health.

Congress is still open and working to protect the health of Aboriginal people in Central Australia. Because COVID-19 is an infectious disease, we are making changes to how our clinics operate to keep the community and our staff safe.

If you have a sore throat, fever or cough and are concerned you may have COVID-19, call the Congress COVID-19 hotline on 8959 4782.

If you need help with any other health issue, please call your local Congress clinic to make an appointment to speak to a doctor on the phone by calling your local clinic or the switch on free call 1800 142 900

The doctor may be able to help you with your health issue over the phone, or arrange health staff to visit you in your home (for example, to deliver medicines).

Please be aware that if you do come to one of our clinics, you will be seen by a Congress staff member outside before being allowed into the clinic.

If you live in a remote area, please contact your local clinic to find out how the clinic is continuing to care for your health at this time

For emergencies, always dial 000.
