  1. Approval Process Flowchart
    This flowchart describes the process for approval to conduct research with Congress and anticipated time required to gain approval.
  1. Assessment Criteria
    This document provides the assessment criteria used by Congress to assess the suitability of applications to conduct research with Congress. This is in conjunction with the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ethical Guidelines for Research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples 2018 and the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) Code of Ethics and Torres Strait Islander Research 2020.
  1. Expression of Interest Form
    Complete this Expression of Interest (EOI) form to partner with Congress in the development of a research proposal OR if requesting support for a research grant application.
  1. Application Form
    This application form is to be completed by researchers proposing to conduct research or evaluations with Congress. 
  1. Progress Report
    Board approved research projects are required to submit regular 6 monthly or annual progress reports depending on length and scope of the project using this template.
  1. Final Report
    Board approved research projects are required to submit a final report at the conclusion of the project using this template
