The diabetes educator is a nurse who can help you manage your diabetes. They are experts in managing diabetes and can talk to you about treatment, healthy eating, blood sugar testing and other ways to best manage your diabetes.

Language speakers can be arranged to support you during your appointment.

Any Congress client with diabetes can see a diabetes educator.

Young people, women who are pregnant and women who are considering pregnancy should make an appointment.

Diabetes educators work at town clinics on the following days:

Gap Clinic – Tuesdays and Thursday

Larapinta Clinic – Monday

Sadadeen Clinic – Wednesday

Northside Clinic – Thursday

Alukura – Wednesday

Every two months Diabetes Educators visit Amoonguna, Amplilatwatja, Mutitjulu, Ntaria, Pintupi, Santa Teresa, Urapuntja and Utju.
